Getting rid of the Bonneville meant we needed another car. Especially with Mark's bum knee, since it would be a pretty jerky ride for him with me driving his manual transmission car!
We'd talked about getting a mini SUV... more room for the pugs, hockey gear, etc. Four wheel drive for the next Baltimore Snowmageddon, roof rack for skis, etc. So we took a gander at a Toyota Rav4 and it was love at first sight. (I'm sure I would have fallen for any new car at that point, considering Bonnie's condition!) After scoring a fairly decent interest rate and a rebate for being recent grads, we decided to take the plunge. Well, a very sloooow plunge - I had no idea it would take so long to buy a car! It felt like we spent an entire day at the dealership, but we finally signed our lives away and got to drive our new car home. I hope we can get as many years out the Rav as I did with the Bonneville!
I have lovingly dubbed her "Raven" because a) she's a Rav4, b) she's black, c) I love the Ravens, and d) all good cars should have a name :P

Well, that certainly looks familiar!
