Mark and I just returned from a fantastic week in Minnesota and Wisconsin! It was so great to catch up with the family and friends we hadn't seen since our wedding in October. The whole gang got together out at Jorge and Katie's place for some food, drinks, games, and relaxing around the campfire. It really doesn't get much better than that! Even Adam flew in from Las Vegas. We played dominoes for the first time, watched Adam and our nephew Jack play with (i.e. crash) their remote controlled helicopters, and the guys played some football. It was a blast!
Spent a couple days in Wisconsin out at Mom and Jim's place, met up with Amelia in Stillwater, went out for yummy Mexican with our dad Al, watched the Twins on TV with Grandma and Grandpa Curt, and took a little drive with dad Chuck -- glad we could spend a bit of time with everyone, though it certainly was not enough.
We were home in time to celebrate a few birthdays: Mom, Grandma Katy, and our friend Tasha. Tasha's husband Don planned a surprise get-together at their home, so it was nice to see them and some college friends Tom and Rachel. It was exciting to finally see Tasha's tummy too ... she and Don are expecting their first child around July 5th. So exciting! Speaking of babies... CONGRATULATIONS to our friends Sarah and Mike Wangen who gave birth to Eva Isabelle in Honolulu on 5/24. We are so happy for you!!!
Missing everyone already!! The Henderbagel Inn has a vacancy - please come visit! :)
