Last Saturday was a big day for Baltimore - the annual Preakness Stakes horse race at Pimlico. But that's not the race I'm talking about. Mark's sister Kelly and her husband Steve came down from New Jersey to visit us. And we finally got to meet their greyhound puppy Dani, aptly named for the female racecar driver Danica Patrick (hence, the race analogy). We took our canines down to the dog park and Dani ran circles around Ryleigh and Caoimhe. In the spirit of female racers, Rachel Alexandra won the Preakness - the first filly to do so in 85 years.
We had a nice relaxing weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather playing Spades out on the back patio. It was also nice to congratulate Kelly and Steve in person... they're expecting!! We are sooooo excited for them :)
