Winter happenings

It's almost 70 degrees outside and spring is just around the corner! Only last week it was freezing cold and Baltimore even got a snow storm. Let me share some of our latest winter memories...

On Feb. 21st we went skiing with our buddy Jason at Whitetail resort in central Maryland. The weather was gorgeous and there was plenty of man-made snow. Jason was the lone boarder, and he and Mark really tore of the slopes! I'm a little on the slow side... but at least I don't fall too much :)

The following weekend, we got together with our friends the Dinosos - Jason, again, and his wife Bri. We went up to Boordy Vineyards in Hyde, MD for their "Fond of You" Fondue event. One of Mark's co-workers, Gail, has a part-time job there and she worked her magic to get us on the VIP list. Thanks Gail!! We had a great time drinking red wine, snacking, listening to the band, and catching up in the huge, beautiful old barn.

Earlier this week, we finally got some snow in this town! We woke up to a glorious accumulation of about 4-6 inches. If I was back in Minnesota, this would be run of the mill. However, Baltimore doesn't get much of the white stuff, so I happily dusted off my snow boots and marched out to my car, scraper in hand. The pugs seemed to enjoy the snow too!
