Professional Broomball?!

OK... so I lied a little. We're not about to give up our Ph.D. aspirations in exchange for swatting a foam ball around on the ice. But last Thursday we did go watch some more professional hockey (Washington Capitals again), followed by the awesome opportunity to go play a short game of broomball out on the Caps ice. Thanks to our friend and Strange Brew teammate Marni, who organized what might be a once-in-a-lifetime outing. Unfortunately our game wasn't televised, so I apologize that you weren't able to watch us on ESPN! It was a win-win night for Mark and me, as the Caps defeated the Atlanta Thrashers, and the dark shirts - our team - defeated the white shirts in broomball.
