2011 and beyond

Really? Another entire year went by already? Weren't we just celebrating the arrival of 2010 in Charlotte yesterday? Wow, that was fast. Yet if I flip back through the virtual pages of my blog I am reminded that this past year was jam-packed with activity and fun!


Now it's time to turn another page. For me, 2011 is more than just a new year. In exactly one week, I turn 30. Whoa. I am turning a new decade! My 20s were out of this world. Sooo many momentous, life-changing events happened in that third decade. Went to college. Lived on my own. Played a lot of sports. Traveled the world. Progressed from boyfriends and breakups to marriage and a mortgage. Got some letters after my name, and a whole new name for that matter. Met some incredible people. Found the love of my life! Morphed from party animal to happy-at-homebody. Purchased my first car. Witnessed the inauguration of our first black president. Became an aunt. Learned to like beer (finally, within the last year). I even bungy-jumped, for Pete's sake!!


The 20s were some of the most exciting and fantastic years of my life. But I can't freeze time, and I'll just be wasting it by looking back. Time to embrace the new year... new decade... new opportunities. Bring it on!! :o)
