Summer in Minnesconsin

We enjoyed a week back in MN for Amelia's wedding and some time with the fam. Our Midwest visits are always busy as we scurry from one place to the next, but we managed to see pretty much everyone and do a lot in a little time. Thanks to Grandma Katy and Grandpa Curt for letting us stay with them.

We went out to Dad's place in Haycreek and Adam lit up a huge bonfire and made us s'mores. Sitting around the fire has to be one of life's simplest pleasures. We also had dinner with Al, Liz and Travis ... I had no idea Applebee's did karaoke, but apparently they do, and Travis thought he'd give it a try. He got the whole place rockin' with "Born to be Wild." We were so proud of him - I couldn't believe he got up in front of all those people and belted it out! Afterward, he politely thanked everyone for listening to his song - priceless :)

Later the gang got together out at Jorge and Katie's place to celebrate Mom, Grams, and Curt's belated birthdays. Lots of throwing the ball around with our nephew Jack and plenty of relaxing outside. Before we flew back, we hung out at Mom's place in WI and enjoyed watching all the birds at the feeders. Mark got some great shots. Wish we could all get together more often, but I suppose it makes me appreciate it that much more when we do get to go "home."

Here's a slideshow from our visit ... if you can't see it, click the link under "Our Photo Albums" at the right.
