Typically if I'm talking about a "blizzard" in B'more I'm referring to a treat from Dairy Queen (which are few and far between out here, by the way!). Well this weekend we had a real blizzard, breaking the record for December snowfall. We accumulated somewhere around 20 inches over Saturday and Sunday.
The weather was problematic for shoppers and travelers, considering it is the last weekend before Christmas, but for us it was kind of fun being snowed in and lazy! The blizzard forced me to bake more Christmas cookies - oh darn. Today Mark and the rest of Fleet Street dug out their cars that had been blocked in by the plows. We had to go to the grocery store but decided to walk so no one would swoop in on our hard-shoveled spots. We made a family adventure out of it, bringing the pugsters along to explore the snow. I made them wear their jackets (which they were not happy about) but they were real troopers as they maneuvered over huge drifts.
We wish you a joyful and blessed Christmas. Safe travels!
Love, The Hendersons

Those poor pugs... :)
