Summer days are dwindling, and autumn is on the way. Mark and I enjoyed a jam-packed summer! I'm still not sure where it all went, but I took a few snapshots along the way...
Shruthi, Tiff, and I drove up to New Jersey for our classmate Kristi's (right) wedding shower/BBQ. Mark and I are looking forward to the wedding in Laguna Beach, CA next month!
Yet another country music show down in Virginia... this time it was Kenny Chesney. What a gorgeous day for tailgating and rocking out! We had a blast hanging out with Mark's hockey buds Tim and Eric, plus our friend Matt and some new friends too :)
A magical sunset over the city from our rooftop deck.
Labor Day weekend: Tiff invited me out on her boyfriend Bryan's yacht... we cruised around the Chesapeake Bay and jumped in for a dip.
And, after living in Baltimore for 5 years, my seafood-loving comrades finally convinced me to eat my first Maryland blue crab! It was a fun experience, but I was ready to go back to eating my BBQ ribs :)
I also went tubing down the Potomac at Harper's Ferry, West Virginia with our friends the Links, my volleyball friend Carla, and the "Capitol Hill Tubing Society" (photo credit: Jed Link)
Mark spent Labor Day weekend in Pocahontas State Park down in Virginia with his buddies Matt & Caleb, who drove up from Charlotte, NC.
The guys had an awesome time camping, fishing, and mountain biking.
Somewhere in between all that we also made our way up to Oxford, New York to visit Mark's parents in their new home (well, old, actually - built in the 1800s). It was nice to hang with the fam and see Lauren, Kelly, and Steve. Things got a little crazy - we had 6 dogs, a kitten, and a bird in the house, and at one point a BAT! We got pretty creative as we strategized a way to remove it. Thankfully, Mark and Cyndi were able to transport it outside alive!
We are so blessed to have had such an amazing summer filled with so many fun experiences and wonderful friends and family. I'm sure this fall will bring lots of excitement as well! Can't wait :o)
